Dr. Arden's expertise includes determination of cause and manner of death, and investigation of suspicious and sudden deaths, both natural and traumatic. He has a special interest and broad experience in pediatric deaths. He is also experienced in the assessment of deaths of special populations and in government custody.
Dr. Arden is specifically trained and skilled in injury analysis, and has the knowledge to answer questions such as mechanism, causation, and age of injuries, and to address other factors such as trajectory of gunshot and stab wounds.
Dr. Arden supports and contributes to many types of legal actions, including criminal homicides, wrongful death, medical malpractice and child abuse and neglect. Dr. Arden can assist with trial preparation, including strategy for evidence presentation and cross-examination of experts, and will perform medical literature research to provide the foundation for both. He has testified as an expert witness in numerous state and federal courts, as well as on grand juries and in depositions.
